Advisory on E-visas
1. All categories of valid e-visas issued either prior to its suspension in March 2020 due to COVID or after resumption of e-visa, are valid to travel to India subject to number of entries mentioned on the visa.
2. Any one seeking to obtain e-visa can apply for it at the link: https://www.indianvisaonline.gov.in
3. E-visas can be applied under the following categories only:-
i) e-Tourist Visa
ii) e-Business Visa
iii) e-Conference Visa
iv) e-Medical Visa
v) e-Medical Attendant Visa
vi) e-emergency X-Misc Visa (For Afghan Nationals)
For other categories of visa, applicants are advised to apply for regular paper visa at the link https://www.indianvisaonline.gov.in
4. A foreigner (other than those applying for e-Conference visa) will be permitted to club the above categories of e-Visa. Foreigners applying for e-Conference visa will be permitted to club with e-Tourist visa only. Only 2 e-Medical Attendant visas will be granted against one e-Medical visa.
5. The validity of e-Visa (except e-Conference visa) will be 60 days from the date of arrival in India. In case of e-Conference visa, the validity will be 30 days from the date of arrival in India. Double entry is permitted on e-Tourist visa and e-Business visa. Triple entry will be permitted on e-Medical visa and e-Medical Attendant visa. Only single entry is permitted on e-Conference visa.
6. E-Visa can be availed for maximum of three times in a calendar year i.e. between January to December.
