Procedure for submitting application for emergency visa:

Applications for visa should be filled online via link www.indiavisaonline.gov.in and appointment has to be booked online https://www.hcilondon.gov.in/appointment_home/ to submit visa application and supporting documents at VFS global visa application centre. In extreme genuine emergency cases, like death or serious illness of immediate family member (Proof of relationship required – has to be blood related) subject to providing supporting documents for evidences from India like death certificate / hospital certificate duly stamped, Applicant may contact High commission of India London emergency number on 07768765035. Public response unit will verify the documents and coordinate with the visa officer after which the applicant will be informed to visit High commission of India London, Aldwych, WC2B 4NA in-between 1000 am and 0500 pm Weekdays, Weekends and on Public holidays to submit visa application.

Applicants are advised to bring printed and signed application form, passport (minimum 6 months’ validity, 2 blank pages) 2 photographs (50mmx50mm), supporting documents and visa fee £183.00 (Visa fee £116.00 + consular surcharge £3 + emergency visa fee £64.00 (exact amount in cash only) Kindly note that we do not accept any other mode of payment in High commission of India London.

In case of minor applicants original and self-attested documents are required.   Marriage certificate, birth certificate (full version), consent form duly signed by both the parents, self-attested copies of parent’s passport, proof of relationship for emergency are the required documents. Minor’s application form can be signed either by one of the parents or both. Custody order from the court will be required if the parents are legally separated.
