MEDC to host One-day ‘MEDC-MSME Conference 2022’
23rd August 2022 | at B.N. Vaidya Hall, IES School, Dadar (E), Mumbai

Maharashtra Economic Development Council (MEDC), Mumbai has organized the ‘MEDC-MSME Conference 2022' event on Tuesday, 23 August 2022, at B.N. Vaidya Hall, IES School, Dadar (E), Mumbai. Minister of MSME, Govt. of India, Hon. Narayan Rane, Industries Minister Maharashtra Hon. Uday Samant will be the chief guest for the Annual Flagship event of MEDC. 

MEDC, an Economic Think-Tank for Business and Industry as well as for the State Government of Maharashtra is organizing this special conference for the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise sector for the last fifteen years. This year's conference has focused on the topics such as ‘MSME Internationalization’, ‘Women Entrepreneurship, Financial Assistance for MSME, and ‘Role of Skilling, Incubator, and Clusters in MSME Sector. There will be seminars on these important topics apart from the information on various government schemes for MSMEs, financing for MSMEs, and success stories in MSMEs that have been included in this year’s conference. Consulate Generals of Australia, and Japan will be attending the conference. The detailed agenda for the conference is as follows: 

Inaugural Session:

The Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector form the backbone of the Indian economy. Its significance needs to be understood & respected. It is the engine of growth for many developed and developing economies. The sector has employed millions of people in India and it is the biggest employer at the national level after the agricultural sector. Keeping all these factors in mind, the MSME Conference is one of the most important events organized by the MEDC, wherein MEDC brings together the policy creators (Government Officials and Ministers), Capital Facilitators (Banks and Institutions), and Technology Innovators in the field of MSMEs. The Conference aims to update the awareness of participants regarding changing market needs, technological alterations, and innovations and initiatives for the benefit of the MSME sector of the country Representatives of the Ministry of MSME will attend this year's conference MSME, Government of India, Maharashtra State Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC), Department of Industries Government of Maharashtra, Federation of Indian Export Organizations (FIEO), Engineering Export Promotion Council of India (EEPC), Mumbai Metro Corporation, Consuls of various countries, European Business and Technology Center (EBTC), Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC), Devgiri Electronics Cluster - Aurangabad, Defense Cluster - Nashik, Atal Incubation Center, and Bombay Stock Exchange. The representatives will participate and guide various topics related to MSME Sector. MAGIC, Aurangabad, and Aamhi Udyogini will be the outreach partner of the conference.
