Applicants should possess Bachelor of Engineering / Technology (B Tech / BE) with minimum 3-5 years of experience in the field of computer software/hardware. They will be expected to be able to diagnose and troubleshoot software and hardware problems and maintain/repair infrastructure of the Mission.

 

Skills and requirements

a)   Ability to diagnose the issue of network / generation of trace route of websites

b)   Basic security measures on part of Network / Software and database

c)    Configuring operating systems (windows and Fedora and using remote desktop connections to provide immediate support

d)   Daily routine work for maintenance of servers (on / off procedure) data backup and health of servers

e)    Knowledge of RedHat Linus open-source platform and COBOL

f)     Knowledge of database / SQL queries

g)    Settings up of email account profiles / IMAP / POP and clients such as outlook, thunder bird and windows live mail.

h)   Close attention to detail, and ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, on multiple projects.

i)     Managing day to day IT issues of the Mission (diagnose/repair/maintaining etc.) of computer software/hardware.

Qualified electrician with professional Diploma obtained locally which is duly certified by the UK Government. Should possess the requisite qualification for handling the electrical issues of commercial buildings. Should possess English/Hindi communication skills.

Job Duties:

  1. Install electrical systems & repair, and maintain electrical systems installed.

  2. Review maintenance work orders and ensure all requirements/preparations are fully undertaken before commencing work.

  3. Should be able to wire breaker panels, heating, lighting and other general electrical requirements in buildings.

  4. Ensuring all accidents, incidents, near misses and non-conformances are fully reported.
